Hey guys,

it's been a long time since i've posted anything on this blog, i'm terribly sorry. not because i've forgotten about you guys, it's just that i've been really busy. as you know, next we'll be combining with a03 and will be called a03 instead.

here's a few issues to settle and for future discussions.

firstly: blog

Of course there's no doubt we want to keep this blog. When I first created this blog on a Wednesday afternoon(I think), I had no thoughts of closing it one day. Unless the new a02 really wants to use a similar url as our blog's, all we can do is to relinquish the rights to them and set up a new blog. Of course, no more of posting of homeworks and tests on this blog! Afterall, not all of us are in the same class already. This blog will be used to keep in contact with each other, post updates about each other's lives and stuffs.

For our new A03 class, what we can do is to use the new A03 blog. I'm sure we know them comfortable enough. The rest of the issues like CM can be settled by our new CT.

Secondly: Class Outing

I know all of us wants a class outing really badly, and I'll assure you this time I'll really put in effort to organise it. I just hope everyone give me their equal support in making as much as effort to turn up for it. It's really disappointing to organise something which no one is interested. Even Chalet is possible =)

Mr Koh is staying in Singapore until around Feb, so there's still time for us to go out with him. I'll contact him and get back to you guys asap.

Thirdly: Thanks Alot

As the year comes to an end, and recalling all of what I've done, A02 has certainly been one of the highlights for me. I can remember so many funny things I've done, and I would say which has a very deep impression within me. It's not just about the time spent, it's about the quality. I can say even though we haven't met for months, I could still say you guys are friends I'll always remember in my heart. Friends whom I meet on the streets, and I would walk to them and have a few chat. Friends I can invite for my wedding?(Okay, that's too far fetched but i'm just trying to show an illustration) Basically, there are two kinds of friends you make. Friends you make but you forget about them once you lose regular contact, and the other ones whom you'll enjoy having a chat with no matter when. You guys belong to the latter and I really mean it. I always be your ACM, but not probably for the new a03.

i LOVEEEE this girl in 06a02 to bits and pieces;

every inch of my heart bled for her when i heard the news about her leaving PJC for TP,doing a law course.

SORRY mates. It's really very very hard for me to organise a class outing because of the clashes of training schedules and other stuffs. To make things worse, people are going holidays too. are you guys keen on chalet??
i really hope we can have one chalet of our own, and then we can spend 2-3 days together. That would be really great.

Are you guys free on 27th November (Monday) to 29th November (Wednesday)??
I was thinking of booking the chalet at Costa Sands Downtown East.
Although the room would be small, but it isn't that expensive for 3 days 2 nights. We'll just have to squeeze together!

If the whole class is willing to go, each person would have to pay about $15-$20. The more we pay, the more we can eat.

If you have something on that clashes with the proposed date, please inform me. I'll try to fit in everyone's schedule.

my dearest beloved 06a02,

i duno how to start, really. but i've got so much to say.. firstly, bout the results, we aint very sure bout whether we'll promote.. so lets just enjoy the next few days before monday alright. seriously, there's no point in thinking bout it alr. whats over is over, you can no nth to anything at this point of time, except one thing, which is to pray. and im gonna pray for the whole class.

on a personal note, when i got bac my results, of cuz i was devastated..i know i look horrible. i cldnt believe it lah. all i tot was i dun wan tot retain. bt aft a few days, i tot it thro properly.. retaining might not be a super bad thing afterall.. i rather retain, get my basic more stable and do better in promos, then promote and get good As grades aft j2, rather than scrape thro and dun do well in As, which will then get me nowhere. one thing, i've to say sorry. im really sorry. i kept nagging at you guys to study, and yet i didnt do well.. sighs.

anyway, no matter what guys, i hope everyone can think more on the positive side. no point keep thinking bout the bad side. whatever you do , must stay happy! alright? i know its hard for some of us. but lets try ok, each and every single on of us is NOT alone, unless until this point someone is that heartless to leave us all alone. i think 06a02 ppl are not like that right.

to those promoting: congrats guys. you're hard work paid off. i hope you guys wont ignore the rest ok. when you merge with other class(es), must work well with them alright? let your life in j2 be a happy one. anything can find us, if you need help and if we are able to help. of cuz we'll be more than willing to help our fellow a02-ers. (: and must help us when we need help too.

to those who are not promoting(i duno how to phrase): guys, its definitely NOT the end of the world. think positively. we shall ACE all the subjects next year k. be the top of the class, or even top in level! we shall work hard tog k. rmb, the most basic thing to do everyday without fail, is to do ALL hmwk, shand up ALL hmwk on time and study ALL tests. rmb, we're gonna ace every subject k!

LOL), crap tog, chalet with mr koh, class lunch, play badminton, santaury tog, gossip tog, laugh tog, looking at hot and good looking ppl, shouting our names and number when we walk past our eyecandies etc. actually, retainin, the worst thing is to get separated with the class and the other friends, for me.. so you guys must not ignore us or leave us alone ok?

i tink that our class is special. its the best class ever i had in my entire life so far. im serious. thou we're from dif background, dif cca, dif languages, dif taste, dif attitude, but we mixed well! omg. Hey lovelies,
I know everyone's been feeling really emotional of late, with some of us almost breaking down at the lunch table today, but I think we should remember that its okay even if we're not in the same class next year. First of all, I don't know if I can promote because well, you guys should know that I haven't done very well myself. So, I won't talk from a position from where it would seem like I am consoling those who won't be promoting. All I really want to say is that, it doesn't matter where we all end up next year, together or not. While we may spend less time together, or even missing the fun things that we used to do, it really doesn't matter because we are still a02, and we will Always be. Maybe there'll be new allegiances pledged, I don't know. But I believe that if we want to, we can make things work. We can still go out together, study together even if we're studying different things, we can even relax and play badminton/monopoly/whatever else together!

I can't say I love PJ more than MG because thats where my heart and soul lies, but I daresay, I love my dearest 06A02 more than any other class I had for the past 10 years in MG. And I'd swear it if I had to prove it to you guys. We started off on a not so good note, but its been really heartening to see how we've grown so much in the short span of eight months or less, I haven't bothered to count, it seems like I've been with you guys for so long already, despite it being so short!

Aisah, geog rep who's never without a smile, its been great to have known you this year, stop going crazy over your eye-candy laaa!!

Andre, the big bear I used to be afraid of, thank you for being you, the funny, never-moody guy in class, who never fails to cheer me up when my moods are in the lowest of the low.

Andy, thanks for being so helpful and encouraging, and ever so willing to serve the class. Like I said, I think we started off on a bad note, but its all over and I thank God for such a Heaven-sent friend, whom I know will be there for me if I should ever fall, even though we aren't all that close.

To those who didn't do as well as you had expected, don't be discouraged ok... No matter what happens, you must still put in your best and look at the bigger picture: strive for the As. It's not going to easy, whether we move up or repeat Yr 1. But all of you must still perservere. Cheer up and continue to encourage each other.

Hey guys, shumei suggests that we should visit the sanctuary as a class. So, next monday, during the one and a half hours break in the afternoon, let's all visit the the sanctuary. We could chill out there playing board games or even play pool. So yeah, we should treasure the remaining time we have now.

Yuqing asked: Do we have to write the thesis and anithesis for every question? Case study too?

Mrs Ng Replied: That depends on the question. If the Q requires U to agree or disagree to a statement, e.g Is Investment
important for Economic Well Being? For this Q, you need to write both thesis and anti-thesis, If the Q has direction
word like "Discuss", you will need to evaluate. It all depends on Q.

I asked: What is the expected length of each essay?

She replied: Usually about 4 sides (single line). But what's more important is being able to write the impt stuff
within 45mins with clear explanation.

I asked: Do we need to include real life examples?

She Replied: It's not a must. Focus on giving clear and conceptually correct explanation. I.e it is only a bonus.

Dorea asked: Do we need to know the process of the Accelerator Principle?

She replied: It's a must for you to explain for factors of investment.

Dorea asked: Accelerator principle is it applied to all determinents of investment or just national income?

Dorea asked (again): Do we need to learn the business cycle?

She replied: That part is more on the limitations of Acc principle. I.e. Explain the effects of acc. namely
rapid and sustained increase in Y, retained profits and optimism. Only mention the limitations if you are confident of
writing all the main points.

She replied: On biz cycle, just know... Accelerator principle is used to explain how National Income can affect I.

Yuqing asked: Will the level of difficulty for the case study, be similar to the N2005 one?

She replied: I'm not sure but she BELIEVE it will be similar.

I asked: Paradox of thrift has limitations and then relaxation of assumptions to the limitations. Do we evaluate ourselves?

She replied: It is not important.=)

I wikipedia-ed mynahs, just to see if they could, as Yuqing said, talk. And I found out that there are many breeds of mynahs around, not just the ugly black bodied, yellow beaked ones we see stealing our food in the canteen, and it said that some breeds of mynahs are known to have imitative skills.
I have no idea if this means they can imitate us talking, but maybe Yuqing was right after all.

However, I still believe she is a bird underneath that humanly exterior.

i HAVE to agree with andy. stop thinking of the worst senario! it will only bring you down. make FULL use of the time left. i know its only 7days which is so freaking little.. THINK BACK. haven you wasted enough time? haven u had enough of procastinating? would you want to waste anymore time? all you can do now is to work hard, study hard make full use of the time. any doubts, consult teachers, ask around, help one another-thats what class should do. also, we needa proof the teachers, the school wrong that we're incapable of producing results. guys, we have the capacity but its whether you're making full use of it. look at our attitude fer the past 6months. are you satisfied with your own and the class attitude? if u ask me, i will say no. i know sometime some lesson are so boring and sometime you just dont have the mood to attend the lessons. ok, thats the past. even if you regret now, no point. you cant do anything bout it alr. wads over are over. dwell on it for what? look forward to tml, the day after, the future. do what you can to improve, to 'amend' the mistakes ou've made in the past. class, for this one week of lessons, PLEASE STOP ALL THE NONSENSE, THE CHATTERING AND NOT LISTENING IN CLASS, ALRIGHT. just one week of lessons. then after that its the promos. its get super irritating when people are just talking and talking away. do you care bout the feelings of other who are listening? the feelings of the teacher teaching. look, so many teachers have given up on us... think yourselves. i dont want to write here.

I think we all take things for granted. I guess all of you have thought about the WORST SENARIO- some of us being retained, kicked out of school, and the rest who are promoted are forced to combine class with other people.

Of course, nobody wants that to happen. I didn't casually edit that song. I wrote it because I really cherish the days I spent with you guys. Though I've only seen you guys in March and we have spent only like 6 months together, I think I'm already in a great class. Our class unity is superb compared to others, we have nice and friendly classmates. What more can we ask for?

This promotional exams is only our first major obstacle. Of course, it determines our fate next year. But when you think of it, it's just the beginning. We have our common tests next year, prelims and lastly, the 'A's. It's not only the chance some of us may get retain or kick out. That could happen ANYtime.

SO, we must stay strong! Why do we come to JC in the first place? I guess we all know that a JC education is full of mugging and this kind of shit. Come on guys, we can get through all this. Now, it's not the time to blame people, circumstances or whatever things. It's about our future. Stay alive and chiong through this week and a half and everything will be over. It's worth 12 MONTHS of our lives, and alot of pride at stake.

We have already enjoyed life for the past few months. We pon lectures, sleep in class, eat in class, talk in class, shout in class, play afool, disrepect to teacher, don't do homework, fail tests, flunk mid-years, I think that's enough.

I don't think there's any need to compete against each other, that's not important. We must help each other out. Don't let your selfishness get the better of you.

Lastly, we do have a point to prove to certain people in some JC right? We surely can study hard and will rise up to the occasion. I wish all you peeps all the best in your mugging! =)

- it is not important to learn methods to measure national income

- case study will be on NIA

- definition of national income; value of output produced by nationals in the economy after depreciation

- the most important use of national income is to indicate measured standard of living(SOL)
- SOL consists of material and non-material
- every government wants to increase SOL
- need to memorise whether national income is the best measure to measure SOL
- how to determine national income which will be spent
- use circular flow of income which has two sides
- when national income goes back into the economy it is injections
- injections – households- consumption and savings
- firms- savings and investments

because of price rigidity

Isn't it a little ironic, that straight after the 24th August post on our "passion" to update on the class blog, everyone stopped blogging? (Ooooh, irony irony, where's mr Lim to see this? -.- Hurr, sorry, I'm feeling a little retarded right now, please excuse that.) Congrats to Andre and Terry for their performances in the rugby match against CJC earlier on today. =)

The PJ Ruggers beat CJC by dunno how many points =). Vice Captain Andre put in a vintage performance with his dazzling and dangerous runs against the CJ backline and was undoubtedly one of the best performers on the pitch.

Likewise, Terry, starting his first match for PJ at home ground, did well with his tackles and his runs. Once, his run led to a counter attack and eventually a try. Well done.

Well, besides our ruggers, our class too, having consist of so many athletes, I do hope each and everyone would succeed. But first, let's get promoted unless you wanna represent PJ for another year. Haha.

Hey guys,

I know much has already been said, by our CT, subject teachers, cca teachers and most probably our parents about the results. And I think we all know that its because we haven't really been very focused in our studies and all that. However, I'm quite proud to notice that a marked improvement has been made in our attitude towards school (well, other than pe. haha.) and I hope we'll continue to work hard, and push each other as a class. I know there are times whereby we're just dead-tired and we feel like sleeping in class, or we're just so restless and we end up talking a lot in class, but I hope that that will lessen, and we'll start pushing each other, like it or not. I'm not directing this at anyone in particular, don't worry, because I know I'm equally guilty of it. Nevertheless, cliche as this may sound, I really hope we'll do well, as a class. And I hope we will work together, as a class.

Well, days are going to be hard. For some of us, our parents have to come to school to meet the teachers. I can fully empathise with them, as this was what I used to dread of in the past too. I just hope we can pick up the pieces and continue to move on.

Amelia suggested making a class short. That's gonna be cool. Cause like no one have ever done it before. If we like wear it together as a class during PE, I guess Ms Liew can do nothing much. At most we'll do jumping jets together! Of course I need to finalise the details. Are we seriously going to do a sports shorts? Who's gonna to design it and stuffs. And also about the chalet, I hope some of your parents who are civil servants could probably help us. If we settle these stuffs quickly, we can then focus on studying and look forward to it, right?

A Class Chalet

I hope to organise a Class Chalet at the end of the year cause the last one with Mr Koh was damn fun. This year, we'll own everything. Maybe Andre's father can book for us but i'll to await confirmation first. The length and dates of the Chalet are still undecided. So that will need you people's help. I seriously want EVERYONE to be able to stay over at least one night. And yah, be prepared to fork out at least $25 per person cause our class is seriously very small in size. I'll hope to invite Chen Xing along too. Yups. =)

2. A Class Tee?

Do you guys want a class tee-shirt, jersey, sweater, shorts or whatsover? Please give your opinions and then we can move on this idea.

Lastly...

It is with my deepest regret to convey this message to you that Chen Xing, is leaving PJC and 06A02. It is certainly a pity for us, for we will be losing two great friends in Chen Xing and Mr Eddie Koh. Chen Xing had been an inspirational leader, superb friend and a role model in all aspects for all of us. Wherever he is going next, we wish him all the best.
